The Trash Factory
James Arden, aka The Trash Factory, is an award-winning (whatever that means) director quickly making a name for himself in the music video world. From modest beginnings in the North of England shooting gritty, high-concept videos for underground bands, James has developed his craft and now brings his uniquely dark, surreal touch and intoxicating style to ambitious promos for artists signed to some of the biggest labels. Doesn’t that sound impressive?
A big supporter of the guitar-music revival, James is always excited to collaborate with musicians and artists willing to push visual ideas into a bold, unexpected and, dare I say it, unsettling space. Perhaps in another life, James would have been a musician… but he’ll happily settle with filling his short time on this planet as a 'director.'
His debut narrative film, Leopard, is currently screening at film festivals around the world, including London Short Film Festival and Kerry International Film Festival, where it won "Best International Short".
