Claryn Chong is a London-based director and photographer. Her passion for shooting originated from a love of. From working with artists in a variety of music scenes (Holly Humberstone, Finn Foxell, NiNE8 Collective) her work is tied to youth culture, nostalgia and the transience of adolescent emotion.
Originally from Singapore and raised in Australia, she takes a lot of inspiration from her diasporic experiences, the diverse cultures she has grown up with, and her never-ending identity crises. By integrating more traditional filmmaking techniques with DIY and analogue processes, her visuals are dynamic, colourful and energetic - resulting in a high-spirited, collaborative, and joyful atmosphere on set.
